Explore China and its culture with Enlighten Excursions' innovative itinerary that takes you off the beaten path and gives you unique social interaction with local citizens, in addition to offering traditional vacation highlights. We will walk along the Great Wall; explore the Ming Tombs and the Forbidden City. We then move on to the Central China city of Xian to visit the 6,000 life-sized warriors in the Terra-cotta Legion, and attend dinner with a vibrant cultural performance. Next we fly to Shanghai where we can investigate the colonial Bund and appreciate the charming architecture in the French Concession. We will visit the Jade Buddha Temple, stroll the Yu Yuan gardens and experience Shanghai by night on a cruise. A breath taking performance by the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe is also included in our adventure. Guests can optionally visit the 2,500-year-old city of Suzhou, known for its classic Chinese gardens, silk and embroidery.
